Find frequently asked questions and answers to help you plan your Waiheke tour.

1. Do I need to book in advance?

Yes, we recommend booking early as we offer small-group tours only.

2. How do I get to Waiheke Island?

You can travel by ferry from Auckland:

  • Fullers or Island Direct: Auckland Ferry Terminal to Matiatia Wharf. Please take the 9:00 am ferry.

  • SeaLink: Operates from Wynyard Wharf and Half Moon Bay to Kennedy Point (vehicles and passengers).

 

If you are staying on Waiheke Island, we can arrange transfers—please contact us.

3. Where will I meet the guide?

Your guide will meet you at Matiatia Wharf, holding a welcome board with your name.

4. What should I bring?

Sunglasses, sunscreen, a hat, a rain jacket and comfortable shoes.

5. What’s included in the tour?

  • Luxury transport and friendly local guide

  • Beachside welcome breakfast

  • Two wine tastings and one gin tasting

  • Gourmet shared lunch with a view

  • Surprise treat and return to Matiatia Wharf

Water and sunscreen are provided.


Ferry fares and optional activity fees are not included.

6. What if it rains?

Tours run rain or shine. If ferries are cancelled due to extreme weather, we’ll offer a rebooking or full refund.​
